New Jersey officials report buses dropping off illegal aliens at train stations to continue their journey into New York City, despite Mayor Eric Adams’ restrictive measures.

Governor Phil Murphy’s office states that buses are using New Jersey as a transit point, with migrants traveling to their final destination in New York City.

This comes after Murphy, who campaigned on sanctuary city credentials, warned about the state’s capacity for more migrants.

Gov. Murphy’s spokesperson Tyler Jones, said, “Our Administration has tracked the recent arrival of a handful buses of migrant families at various NJ TRANSIT train stations.”

“New Jersey is primarily being used as a transit point for these families — all or nearly all of them continued with their travels en route to their final destination of New York City. We are closely coordinating with our federal and local partners on this matter, including our colleagues across the Hudson,” continued Jones.

The buses, originating in Texas and organized by Governor Greg Abbott, are circumventing restrictions imposed by Mayor Adams.

Secaucus Mayor Michael Gonnelli, said, “It seems quite clear the bus operators are finding a way to thwart the requirements of the [New York City] Executive Order by dropping migrants at the train station in Secaucus and having them continue to their final destination.”

Adams has expressed concern about the impact on New Yorkers’ quality of life and has implemented rules to limit bus entry into the city.

Mayor Adams said, “We’re seeing the erosion of the quality of life that we’ve improved on in such a short period of time of this administration.”

“We’ve been impacted … for many months, we were able to keep the visualization of this crisis from hitting our streets, but we have reached the breaking point. We no longer are able to do that because of the volume in numbers,” added the NYC mayor.

Similar restrictions have also been quietly passed in Chicago by Mayor Brandon Johnson.
